Why do College Coaches leave the profession?

Being a College Coach is really hard!!

Coaching in a post-pandemic, NIL climate makes it harder!

Coaching without a support system is the hardest!

Your work is too important for you to try and do this alone.

Coach, your work can life-giving, but it can also take a toll on you.

Does this sound familiar?

  • You question if you are making a difference.

  • You think about quitting.

  • You feel alone.

  • You crave useful feedback.

  • You want new ideas.

  • You worry about your job security.

  • You need to know that you matter.

  • You hunger for support and encouragement.

  • You hate anonymous surveys.

  • You feel like you can't get it all done.

  • You feel misunderstood by your Administrators.

You aren't the only one who feels this way.

Your Host, Molly Grisham

Keynote Speaker and Experiential Facilitator, Molly Grisham helps to build and sustain teams in a wide variety of industries. She believes that "teams don’t grow apart, they die apart." She knows that high-performing teams in all industries get stretched and stressed by the demand to perform. She has worked with teams in the SEC, ACC, Big Ten, DII, DIII, NAIA, and High School.

With nearly two decades of experience as a College Soccer Coach and Communication Professor, Molly approaches her work as an educator. She meets people where they are and helps them move to where they want to be.

Molly holds degrees in Communication from Belmont University, the University of Illinois, and Missouri State University. She has completed training as a Civil & Family Mediator, she is a Certified Experiential Specialist with the International Society of Experiential Professionals, and is a Certified Myers-Briggs facilitator. Testimonials from previous Participants:

"Do you want to laugh, cry, THINK, and become a better, more creative, and insightful coach in just an hour every two weeks? Then it is a no-brainer to join the Mastermind! I felt a burst of energy after every session, and I was able to begin friendships and professional relationships with other coaches that will last a lifetime. JOIN! IT IS SELF-CARE!"

Colleen Powers, Softball Coach

"This was an absolute game-changer for me. I have been challenged and have grown so much over the past few months, both as a person and a coach. I would highly recommend The Mastermind for College Coaches to any college coach who wants to continue to improve as a leader for their program!"

Lori Chalupny, Maryville University Women's Head Soccer Coach

"Participating in The Mastermind for College Coaches was one of the best professional development investments I have ever made. No book, no article, no TedTalk can replicate the reality and authenticity found within this space. Molly created a platform where real-time college coaching challenges can be discussed, mitigated, and resolved. I would highly recommend this process to any college coach at any level and within any sport."

Brad Silvey, Head Women's Soccer Coach

" In The Mastermind for College Coaches, Molly created a space that allowed for each coach to bring their full selves to the space – their strengths and their vulnerabilities – and ways they could help where they needed help. It's such a rare gift to be able to connect 11 strangers virtually; Molly possesses that gift and never hesitates to share that with all who work with her."

Steph Wheeler, Women's Wheelchair Basketball Head Coach, University of Illinois

"Molly created a secure space, through Zoom nonetheless, where coaches could be both vulnerable and brave, and be celebrated for both. We could share our highs and lows while collaborating and learning from each. Being our authentic selves was enough. It was like being part of the show, "This Is Us," where each session we laughed, cried, and grew, and every time the Zoom ended, we couldn't wait for the next one."

Cristin Allen, DePauw Women's Soccer Head Coach

"I promise if you join The Mastermind for College Coaches, your life will be changed by the amazing people and content. The impact of the coaches and friendships will stay with me way beyond the few months in the group. I have a network of coaches who care about their student-athletes as much as I do, and I can rely on them to help me maintain my passion and love for the game."
